CollegeMost of these reviews are either jokes or extremely sarcastic. Luke is great...if you actually care about learning. Most tests are near impossible, and his lectures are difficult to follow. BUT, if you are willing to watch the lectures a second time...you do really start seeing the world of ECE differently. Don't be scared to go to OH for help.

Ever since I received my grade in Luke's class, he has shown up in my dreams every night. In these dreams he is usually on the phone, telling people to stop pattern matching. Seriously, Luke is so inspirational and ECE 10A has been a life-changing experience. Luke taught us how to think, and to value understanding over memorizing procedures.
This class has changed how I view life, how I approach problems, and it made me realize that I'm actually not bright at all; I'm just good at pattern-matching. You WILL learn a LOT if you take a class with Luke, for example: knowing does not mean understanding, your understandings must be generalized, base your reasoning on mathematical rigor, etc.
