Long, boring lectures.

kara is an interesting lady, she is very helpful and interested in what she is teaching but this class is just BORING. attendance is not necessary by any means. VERY EASY CLASS take if you want an easy A and an art g/e fulfilled. discussions are extremely boring but make sure to try to become friends with your ta they will read drafts on papers

LEcture is extremely boring and there is no need to go, but the material is very easy and the teacher is really approachable. you write two paper and the teacher or ta will read your drafts and tell you what to fix to basically get an A. would def reccommend this class ,. section is boring, quizzes every week on reading, but still no reason to rea

Attrep is my favorite. She is extremely helpful and nice and makes the effort to get to know you especially if you go to office hours. She makes want to be an enthno. No text books= no reading and money and I literally got an A+ Section was boring but you end up DOING a lot

Kara is very enthusiastic and tries to actively engage her students. She's really nice and understanding. There are no textbooks in this class but there is a lot of articles to be read. The exams are fair and she tells you ahead of time what you need to know and read for the exam. I highly recommend this class!

Attrep is great! She is super down-to-earth, connects well with students, and uses a variety of teaching methods in her lectures to not bore the students (she LOVES YouTube). It's an easy A and you'll learn quite a bit without trying too hard. Tests are super easy (she hates giving tests). Super helpful! Great class; highly recommend!

sooo easy. and she is super helpful. but honestly i didnt even study and got a 94% on the midterm

Kara is extremely helpful, and willing to help. She responds to emails rather quickly, and is always willing to answer your questions..kick ass!

I liked her a lot, I sent a lot of E-mails to her and she was prompt and helpful with all of them. She was really nice and tried to get our section involved, which was kind of like getting a dead horse to move, if that makes any sense...

Most boring teacher EVER

surprisingly boring lectures on interesting material.

Kick ass class! Best teaching team at UCSB. Kara is ****ing cool and wants her students to succeed.

Kara was a really cool person and easy to talk to. Nothing was hard about this class, so it lets you actually enjoy what's being taught to you instead of just memorizing.

She's not a professor... yet. Anyways she did a decent job teaching and it was an easy class, but don't expect to get anything out of it. They zoom through tons of material and don't cover anything in depth. The grading was easy, and you don't need to read much.

Pretty easy class, interesting topic. Slides were helpful, but she went through them pretty fast and they were kinda hard to access on the internet.

I dont know what everyone else is talking about, but she certainly didnt use powerpoint presentaitons for our class, and had THE worst handwriting scrawled across an overhead. She rambled on a bit about things, but the later portion of the class was pretty cool. I'd say take it if you need a GE

She is only a grad student, but it was a really interesting class and very easy. Very fair and she's very straight forward and clear with her presentations. She posts her powerpoints on the website. Diana Lantz is a great TA and very nice
