All I have to say is talk. That is the main thing he wants. If you don't talk in lectures, you will get a bad grade! Also sit in the front, he's kinda old and talks softly and sometimes has a problem hearing.
Took this class last summer but forgot to rate him. Really brilliant, will teach you a lot about legal and philosophical ethics. Recommended.
The class itself is difficult to explain. He has weekly tests that sometimes don't even pertain to the readings at all. Your well thought out opinion is what will help you succeed in the class. I had no problem getting an "A" putting forth minimal effort.
Awesome guy and great teacher. He has high expectations but is helpful. He runs his class like a discussion, and calls on people to explain stuff. If you dont read, he might make you look like an idiot. If you do read, you will probably get an A.
Very old, indirectly prejudiced. Favors intelligent comments form white students. He listens as long as you agree with him. Easy class though, I do like his method of testing every week. He is more a Poli. Sci than a Philosophy professor.
His teaching style it to have students read (a lot) and then aske them questions about the reading. I learned so much more that way. He is genuinely interested in student's opinions.
