go to lecture and do fine in the class since all the information you need to go comes out of it. graves is a nice guy, a bit looney looking, but he's a good professor. handouts are given for the midterm and final so there's no reason for you not to get a good grade.

Probably one of the more boring professors, yet he is nice. Tons of information to know, go to lecture and read the parts he talks about. Key to have a good T.A. His jokes don't fly, but he's fun to laugh at.

History of Environ. Easy but boring class. Graves is such an easier grader. Grades easy on paper and for senior thesis that an easy 6 units

this man is the MOST boring professor i've had in two years. he drones on for the entire hour. i keep falling asleep in class.

Not the most interesting subject but made lectures fun with stories and movie clips. Go to lecture and study notes and you'll do fine.

sorta boring at times, avoid a TR lecture time, but it's not impossible to stay awake. do the readings and the class shouldn't be too tough

Very interesting lectures and readings but the grade is based on only a midterm and takehome final. The midterm is pretty straight forward but i felt lost on what to do on the final, the topic felt to big and needed to be focused, even though i wrote 11 pages i still feel i left out alot.

Lectures are awesome...plays classic rock and other good tunes before class. Grades fairly. Beware grade is based upon one midterm one final paper...don't f*ck it up.

Two papers make up your entire grade for the class, he's a fair grader and expects you to include what he has taught in class in your papers, so showing up is pretty important. Funny guy, but lectures can kind of drag at times.

he's a funny guy, just make sure you take notes and go to class, his tests are lecture-based but reading helps too

Hard to keep up with the reading, do the book first,then the reader.Lectures are very well organized and easy to understand.Essay is relatively easy,no research necessary.Gives a new more interesting spin on world history.

Awesome class. The course material is very interesting, and the tests are really easy and straight forward. The reading is awesome- Guns, Germas and Steel is a great book. Pay attention and you will have an easy A, and learn a lot too!

very good teacher, easy, nice, he let me take my midterm another day bc i had to get my wisdom teeth out and i told him i wont be able to study..he didnt even ask for a doctor's note

prolly the best prof i hav had hear. easy n concise. good lectures. one of the few classes i was excited to go to. lectures kept me thinking. eaasy to understand and even easier to do well.

Very relevant course lecture, informative and even entertaining (on an intellectual level).

a great and witty teacher also took hist 17c and hist 173with him and enjoyed immensely
