Brightbill is a great teacher, but the homework is unnecessarily long. I see that it's good practice, but you will spend at least 3 hours a week doing it. Either way, he's a real gem, take him if you have the chance.
Very harsh on grading makes you work for it. His weekly homework is extremely long and takes so much time to do, sometimes I feel like he has no mercy but he's very caring though. An eccentric professor, get ready to spend at least 15 hrs of doing HW for his class every week. Exams are graded very strictly, sabotages lots of students.
You will learn from his lectures. With the amount of hard work he puts into the lectures and teaching you will feel motivated to study for his class. Homeworks will take a lot of time, but it is worth the time.
This man can teach. And even better, if you still don't understand material the first time around (I often don't), he holds so many office hours in which he stays overtime to answer as many questions as he can. This man puts in the effort and expects the same of his students. If you show him you care and use your resources, you can pass this class!
He is a really nice guy. Though the homework is tough, you can go to his OH and ask every single question, he will go over all of them even it runs out of time. A practice exam is given, and it is quite similar to the real one. The exam is always easier than the homework. If you take his class, ready to spend time on homework, and OH is necessary.
Jeremy is a nice person and enthusiastic about math, also very accessible outside class. However, his homework can be overwhelming. I had to spend 8-12 hours on hw each week, including midterm and final weeks. His lectures are okay, usually not hard to follow. Take his class if math is your interest and you willing to spend lots of time on hw.
