Super nice guy. Wants you to learn and grades fairly.
Great dude, genuinely cares about his students, and is a real gem in the math department. There are usually pop quizzes in section, but he usually drops hints when they're going be. Midterm/final grading was fair (although the tests were quite long), and he even offered regrading options for a question most people missed. Lectures are also posted.
Amazing professor and great lecturer! He really cares about all of his students and works hard to make the class easy to understand and interesting for all taking it. The quizzes in section can be a bit tough sometimes but you'll be prepared if you attend lecture and do the homework. I'd love to take one of his classes again!
professor that genuinely cares about his students (very rare in math dept), lecture notes r very detailed and helpful, midterm was a bit too long and he revised grading options for ppl that didnt do so well, review his lecture notes/do the hw yourself and you will succeed
He definitely cares about his students and was willing to create another grading option. His notes are especially useful as he puts time into them and responds to students questions through email. Overall, the tests are pretty straightforward as long as you listen to what he tells you to study.
Shaya is caring and takes his time to explain concepts very well. He gives us very clear lecture notes that he posts online. The midterm was fair but long. Homework is on WebWork and section attendance is mandatory (occasional quizzes). I would take another class with him in a heartbeat. Definitely a gem in the math department, which is rare.
