Shes smart and enthusiasitc. But she would constantly make you feel uncomfortable in her class. She taught a little in class but supposed us to know everything on exams. Also, she graded undergrads as her PhD students. She would never offer you any grading creteria or prompt on everything you worked on. Not very clear about what she exactly wanted
I looked forward to this class every day. She's enthusiastic and tries to make it fun. She 'll be annoyed if you habitually blow off the homework but that's the only time I've seen her give someone the "look" other people mention. Just don't blow off the homework daily? She's organized and her expectations are super clear. I'll miss her class!
She's really mean and I hated going to her class. She makes you feel dumb if you get a question wrong. Very uncomfortable atmosphere in her class. She knows what she's talking about, but it isn't worth the dread she makes you feel. You've been warned
Dr. Lindheim is a life-saver... accepts homework a day late if you forget to do it :D The class is really hard but she really works with the class to make sure you get it. Super nice lady.
She is friendly with students and tries to work with the level of understanding the class has. This means staying on a lesson until we understand, which is very helpful. A lot of people seemed dissatisfied, but I think they just asked ridiculous questions having nothing to do with class.
Lindheim is very passionate about what she teaches. She expects you to learn the material, and moves very quickly and very organized through it. She is very nice, but gives very...disappointed looks when you don't understand the material; however, this is great incentive to pay attention and actually learn. You will LEARN. She's a great teacher.
Great class but required A LOT of work. Only 5 students knew what they were doing so we had DAILY quizzes and a huge amount of HW. I spent most of my quarter studying Latin. Her quizzes are hard, even though the material is not, as she always pulls some obscure grammatical or vocab question and you are expected to know EVERYTHING Lat 1-3.
Her class was like milk, it was good for 2 weeks. She's chill, but I think she's into Odysseus a wee bit too much!! I would say, if you show up to class, there really is no need to read the novels. But what the hell does she got against major/minors, she grades us on a different scale...I think she keeps us off the flippin' curve...STOP IT!
BORING!! (there are 153 tiles on the ceiling. Bring a pillow) My advice pop a No Doz before class. She's good people, and the novels are worth while. Easy enough to do well... Dude, she assigns TONS of reading...My advice show up to as many lectures as you can and read what you miss...don't bother with the modern novels...
Here's a tip: Never judge a book by its movie... But do watch the movie as 'a last anchor!' Lindheim is cool, but I think she's a little -understatement- ambitious with the amount of novels that she crammed in, but she pulled it off with a day to spare. So, take her class, show up to class, read 30-50% of material, watch films when possible: B+/A
It was actually a class that one can actually look forward to...and dare i say enjoy doing the homework....which by the way is enough to last you a couple of hours...sometimes....but if you're interested in latin then you won't regreat taking a class with professor L.
Your not a very nice person, and now that your husband is the chair of the department you are on a power trip. Your teach your subject well, but I hate your attitude and you grade under classmen as if they were your grad student. STOP...I'll never get a decent GPA by taking your classes, luckly I don't have to take any more :)
Professor Lindheim was the scariest professor I've ever encountered, with the exception of Professor Renehan. Her evil eye could curse you and you could just feel her gaze follow you. I expected to fall over and just die. All joking aside, she is an awesome and passionate teacher and I learned more English grammar in one quarter of Latin 2 than HS
Really enjoyed this class. The material was great and she's a decent lecturer. Obviously very passionate about her subject, but maybe a bit too much summarizing for my taste. Very good overall though.
She is very into what she teaches. This class goes by pretty fast with about 7 different novels to read. I never really read anything, and got a B in the class because she tells us what was in the reading mostly in detail.
Easy class she just summarizes the story and yeah she look like secretary lady but she loves to giggle in class which is freaky and her TA grades hard. A LOT of reading about 100 pages a week. Only take if your good at reading or love reading if not take something else!
She is a great professor. Very witty and puts a lot of work into her lectures. I enjoyed her class and had little trouble getting an A.
this class served no purpose. She led each class time with plot summary, so there is no need to actually read the books. I dont think i learned anything.
A great teacher. May seem unfriendly at first but she's working on being "warm and fuzzy." If you found her irritating then it was either because you talked while she was or disrupted her class, she can shoot you down really quick, but can help you improve on anything and everything.

Excellent prof, pretty easy class, in lecture will tell you exactly what she wants in essays and tests, don't really need to do readings, she makes herself laugh very easily, it's amusing
I love her funny, witty comments and her enthusiasm for classics. She is great!
hotty without a body - id hit it
Awesome teacher! She really emphasizes perfection even in English grammar! I learned SO much English grammar in addition to Latin in Latin 2.
