Cody was not the worst prof but also not the greatest. I struggled a lot in this class during the summer!! His lectures are hard to keep up with because of how fast he moves on. Also, a lot of your grade is depending on the TA because they grade everything.

He moves incredibly fast in lecture and there are a ton of notes per slide of his presentations so copying it all down is hard. Assigned two essays that were worth a good chunk of the overall grade each. Seems like a really nice guy but would't recommend this class if you don't like history or have a solid foundation in it.

Really confusing class. His lectures don't match the slides, and he goes extremely off tangent. His TA's are really helpful, but the readings assigned doesn't correlate with the lecture well. Entire books were recommended for the class but he only chose a couple of chapters from each book. Overall, this class has been my least favorite at sb

Seems like a cool guy, just do yourself a favor and skip taking HIST 2C with him. I've never been more confused in a class my whole life.

Presentations are confusing. Professor Stephens goes through them super fast; it seems like he's explaining the material to himself. Class is stressful because it's unclear what information you need to know for the final. Assigned reading is dense, boring primary sources. Your grade is basically 2 essays that you receive little guidance on.

Cody seems like a nice guy, however, his teaching style is not ideal. He speaks very fast and he tends to overcomplicate the information. He does upload the powerpoint presentations, but includes so much more in lectures. Two essays (worth 30% and 25%) and a final (25%). Go to section for some guidance (20% of grade).

Don't take HIST2C with this prof. He's a nice guy but the class organization/structure is horrible. There's no textbook, so everything is based on lectures which are all over the place. He moves too quickly and jumps around too much and is unclear with his points. Pretty much everyone is confused about everything. There's little guidance.

Worst class I've ever taken. Lectures are all over the place, he moves quickly and skips around which is super confusing. It's unclear what information we're supposed to know, and there's no textbook. Tons of boring reading, and made us buy 4 books just to read one chapter out of each. He seems like a nice guy but thats the only positive I've seen.

Cody is a solid guy. He is one of the better/chiller Writing 2 profs. There is quite a bit of little 2 page writing assignments due 1-2 times a week, but they are not difficult at all. Only 3 actual papers throughout the course. He always lets you leave early. The one thing that triggered me was he made us buy starting lines but never used it.

Very chill but still maintains authority and respect upon his students. You have to show up to class for points, but he doesn't take up the whole 2 hours of the class. Lets you leave early. Fair grading. Gives helpful and detailed comments on how you can improve your writing. Very chill. Take this class and you'll leave with a B+ or above.
