Lewis is an amazing professor. He really cares about his students, his exams are fair as long as you do the book problems. Overall, this class was amazing! Definitely would take lewis again!

Prof Lewis is crazy, crazy good. Super helpful during office hours, and always tries to give students the maximum number of points possible. He has extra credit points, and re-grades tests himself. His tests are representative of book problems and Mastering Chemistry, which makes the homework less tedious. His lectures are slow and easy to follow.

Cool guy, tests are always hard but that's OCHEM. Really fun to talk to during office hours

Dr. Lewis was a great organic chemistry lecturer -- he walked through reaction mechanisms on the chalkboard in addition to displaying useful notes in his PowerPoint slides, and asked occasional iClicker questions to drum up student participation and gauge where the class was at. His exams were fair, but are subject to change as Dr. Lewis is new.

You know they good when they get a 4.7 rating teaching only ochem. His handwriting is neat af and the explanations are great in lecture. Office hours also super helpful. Only thing is he needs to get active on reddit again :P

I'm not a big organic chemistry fan, but Rob really makes it a blissful experience. It's very hard material, but if you go to lectures (and enjoy his occasional memes and funfacts), read the textbook, and do book problems, you'll at least get a B. Which is pretty much amazing for a student like me. 5/7 recommend. He's amazing.

Very solid professor. He lectures very slowly and mostly uses the chalkboard when lecturing. His exams are very fair. I would definitely take this class with Lewis again.

He made the material easy to understand. Very fair exams. As long as you do all of the practice problems you're solid. Reading the book is a must to do well. Good choice for 109A.

Best OChem professor on campus. Clearly cares about the students and actually teaching them useful information. Gives extra credit. Curve is pretty high. Tests are hard, but he prepares you for them. Very easy to talk to and office hours are helpful.

Professor Lewis is the most incredible professor. He goes slow and writes everything out on the board. You leave the class actually understanding Ochem. His tests are long and free response, so it's important to manage time. Beware the last question on one test was worth fifteen points and I was unable to get to it don't make the same mistake.

Robert Lewis is hands down the best Organic chemistry teacher on campus. I took his summer course and he made OChem a very interesting subject. His grading is very fair, and his tests are taken from book problems and online homework. If you get the chance to take this class with him DO IT. All other OChem profs are subpar.

Professor Lewis is one of my favorite professors to date. He will write out elaborate explanations for any question you have, even over email, and usually extremely quickly. You can tell he really wants his students to do well, and I'm so lucky to have taken one of his first taught courses here at UCSB. He comes across as very humble and caring.
