Awesome TA and great discussion session

Justin''s hair is a character of its own. I struggled in this class bc I have never taken any kind of computer programming. Justin could be helpful and was always really high on science but sometimes I found his discussion sections cumbersome and confusing. He really loves the subject matter though and is always excited to answer any questions.

In a class where the professor and other TAs were unhelpful and unclear and mostly off-topic Justin was a breath of fresh air. He explained things clearly at a basic level so that you could actually understand them using simple examples the other instructors muddled and confused with high-level math.

Provided just the right amount of help to get me started on a problem. He explained topics in different ways if the topic was unclear to me.

It was a fun class

Justin is one of the most enthusiastic and helpful teaching assistants I met at UCSB. He is to be a real tutor for both teaching materials and igniting your interest in one subject.

The guy's always upbeat and he just makes the class worthwhile. When you ask him a question, he won't tell you the answer directly - he'll actually make you learn. Just an amazing instructor.

Justin was very upbeat and interested in the coursework, which definitely helped me learn the material more easily. He is readily available during office hours, which I visited frequently. He almost always had time to offer me one-on-one help with understanding the material. Sometimes goes off topic but overall very helpful and informative.

Overall he was a very good TA to have, sometimes he took a while to get to his point but ultimately I was able to understand what he said so I didn't really mind. He was always willing to help and even learned almost all of our names.

Justin is a great TA! He was very enthusiastic about the class, and seemed truly interested in the material. He gave me some really good explanations, that was helpful in understanding the material. I have no doubt that he will make a great teacher/employee in the future.

Justin was very helpful and I think that he actually cared about helping us learn the material. He is knowledgeable about the subject matter and very punctual in lab session and office hours. He consistently emailed us to keep us updated and gives us tips on the homework or lab reports. He is the ideal ta.
