Horrible!!! Never know what he talk about in the lecture. Need study everyday by yourself and you must get a good TA. Or, you will get F in this class. Otherwise, the FINAL is really SUCK.

Very nice and approachable professor. His lecture is very boring. All he did was rewrite whatever it was on the slides. His midterms are nothing when you compare to the final.

Aced first midterm, got less than a 50% on the second. This class is hard and Vespa doesn't make it any easier. Go to section and lectures are optional. Exams are completely different than the problems online, so you're going to need to read the book and understand the ins and outs of the problems. His tests are mostly conceptual, so best of luck!

Quite literally the worst professor I've had here at UCSB. Lecture is pointless to attend unless you want to hear him ramble and contradict himself. The tests are ridiculously hard and require a ton of studying. The only way you'll end up with a decent grade is if you have a solid TA, and even they recognize how awful he is.

There's way too much guesswork to apply on problems during his exams because he's another sub-par econ professor at UCSB, among many so far, who are either unable or unwilling to teach students what they need to know to perform well on them. I thought the weeding out process would end after getting into the major. Nope.

Very unclear in teaching matter and what will be on test. Teaches the basic concepts and leaves the students to figure out how to do the problems which is the most difficult part of this class. Terrible teacher. This is my first and only review of a professor on rate my professor because he is that bad.

NOT a good prof. painfully boring and rambles on about the most trivial matters. went over the easy stuff all class, and left us to struggle with the problems that presented difficulty.

Very enthusiastic about the subject matter, probably because he does research in this area. Definitely recommend this professor for experimental economics.

Talks in circles and I never really learned much from class. His explanations can often confuse people more than they help. Get a good TA that will explain the concepts again and work the problems. You mostly just need to study previous tests but there will be questions designed to trick you on the tests to meet the curve requirements

His explanations in lecture are wordy and convoluted, and don't prepare you at all for the tests. I came out of lecture more confused than I was going in, but you have to go for the iclicker points. TA's, section, and the practice midterms are your best bet. I'd avoid him if possible

He basically reads off his powerpoint, which aren't really helpful. Some of the material he tested on weren't covered in class. Instead, you have to go out of your way to ask TA's how to do them.

Very wordy during lecture, incredibly difficult to follow. Provides little to no examples in class. I would recommend taking 100B with another professor if you can.

Very confusing lecture, kept changing the syllabus and content for the midterms and final. Would not give us a guide between practice midterms and what we covered in lecture until after the first midterm. Harsh curve, median exam grades of about 84% imply there might even be a REVERSE CURVE.
