Jordan is seriously so hot. My motivation for going to class was just to see his face. Oh yeah and there's also the fact that he's an amazing professor. He made even the most difficult material simple to understand. Really friendly and approachable guy too. I got 100% on the midterm too. The tests are pretty close to the difficulty of the homework

One of the few good math professors at UCSB. He has the three qualities every student wants form a professor: Passionate enough to make you interested in the subject, fair enough to make you respect his assignments, and makes sure his students actually understand what he's teaching. Great class.

Dr. Schettler was a PERFECT first college professor! I'm in high school and was expecting a scary, grumpy professor. Instead, Schettler is very approachable, an excellent instructor, and hilarious. Plus he's just a nice guy...he's willing to extend due dates, and he allows us to bring a notecard for every exam. I definitely recommend Schettler!

Dr. Schettler was extremely helpful with any questions about the content. He was basically available all the time (not just in office hours). And he was also extremely clear in the way he taught the material. An enjoyably first college class.

I didn't attend the lecture more than 2/3 of the time because of class conflict. I learned the material by reading my friend's notes. The class is easy in general but you can learn some more rather advanced materials.

One of the best professors I've had here, does a really good job of explaining the material. He also did some cool powerpoint presentations , sound waves especially!

Great Professor, really wants the students to learn as opposed to cram head full of facts/formulas. He also learns everyone's name (in smaller classes) which makes you feel less like a number and more like he cares how well you do. I also like how HE taught us the info, instead of having the textbook do his job.

Probably now my favorite math class I have taken. Exceedingly helpful and very approachable. Keeps class lively and entertaining which is hard for a math class.

Schettler takes his students into consideration. His last minute homework extensions have saved me a lot;I was out for 3 weeks really sick and really needed the extra time to catch up. Lectures are crystal clear. GO TO THEM. The 3 weeks I missed sick were a huge loss. He grades super fairly too. BEST UCSB math prof thus far. (for me)

Took him for Math 34B he is a really nice and helpful teacher. He goes mainly off his slides and assigns HW problems online but they were only worth a few points each assignment. Get a note card for tests and his tests were just like his practice exams. He talks a little fast but he puts slides online and is willing to help if you if you ask.

a Really good teacher. He barely uses the book because it is not helpful. We learn off his slides which are very clear and useful. The practice midterms and final are almost identical to the actual thing. he also lets us use an index card for tests (back to back). TAKE HIM if you can.
