Professor Gardener was not an easy teacher but she made the class challenging and interesting. She constantly brought real world examples into her lectures. I really enjoyed her class.

Funny, goes on some wild tangents, but overall gets the material across. Do the small assignments and be present in class and you'll make this class easy. Gardner uses a lot of real-world examples with air quality policy and events which brings the class to life.

Hands down the best teacher I have had at UCSB. Very smart and funny.

AMAZING. Gardner brought case studies to the class which made the material highly applicable and fascinating. You can definitely see her toxicology background in this course which was super interesting. Extremely dedicated to teaching and it showed. I was scared of this class because it was chem, but it turned out to be my favorite class at UCSB.
