Amazing professor. Organized. Really passionate about his subject, and it shows. Readings are pretty interesting. Questions on exam are really straight forward. Really enthusiastic when he teaches. He's the reason I became an Anthro major. Highly recommend this prof.

Amazing professor and class. Extremely friendly, super interesting class makes you think i came home each day and wanted to talk to my roomate about the material. Made me consider majoring in Anth. Makes it fun with iclicker questions. Midterm and final are a little tricky, but if you study you'll be fine.

Grading is very fair, all tests are straightforward. If you reread the slides and articles before the tests you should be set for an A. The paper was not too difficult, attendance is a big part of the grade.

Class was really interesting and gave you a new perspective on your own world. Matt was really funny and very into his subject. That said, he also made a HUGE effort to make it appeasible to the students so he constantly asked for feedback on questions and let us submit music for walk-in for extra credit. Very fun guy, very knowledgable.

I'm a science major and only took this class because I had to as a GE. It was a breeze; any reasonably competent person is basically guaranteed an A or B if they attend and complete all assignments. That said, I found the course material nauseating- a bunch of trite, politically correct BS.

Amazing professor. He is very enthusiastic and passionate about the subject and made me interested in anthropology. I definitely recommend taking this class.
