If you have any interest in the Hollywood industry then TAKE this class. Steinkellner is a little spastic at times, but the guests are usually cool and there are no tests but the midterm and final is writing thank you notes. Highly recommended for a good distraction from actual classes!

This might be the only class that I would be okay with taking on a Friday night. Since I ultimately plan to end up with a job in the film industry I sat there in class like a sponge absorbing all of the knowledge that Cherie and her guests (who mostly were personal friends of hers) had to offer. She is engaging, funny, and very genuine!

This class is really cool. The lectures are interviews with people that have had successful careers in different parts of the entertainment industry. The midterm and final were just writing thank you notes to the guests. The interviews are almost two hours, but were enjoyable most of the time. If you're interested in entertainment, take this class.

Depending on the speaker the class can be interesting, it kind of sucks that it is Friday evenings and you need 100% attendance but the class is easy. You're not allowed to use electronics but they aren't very strict about it if you are discreet. The only assignments for the midterm and final were thank you notes to the speakers

Taking a class in pilot writing with someone who had won an Emmy with Cheers was a dream come true. Cheri really knows her stuff, was very supportive and a really nice person. I guess the only drawback would be that because she was so kind, I felt there were a few times where she was pulling her punches when critiquing myself and other students.

The class is basically a series of lectures from rich and powerful Hollywood people. The interviews are interesting enough, although they tended to drag on after 6:00pm. If you need the units and want to boost your GPA, and don't mind starting your Friday night a little later, then this is the class for you.

This class was awesome. Basically, the lectures consist of Cheri interviewing guests. Your midterm and final consist of writing personalized notes to each guest. There are quizzes at the end of each lecture, usually 3 questions.There are lots of extra credit opportunities in case you miss class. Also, you might get hungry. Eat a snack before.

This class is amazing and Cherie is a great teacher!! The guests that came to class were all very interesting and had great stories to tell. Only downside is the class is Friday nights and attendance is mandatory (short quiz at the end of each class).

Amazing class! Cheri brought in great and unique guests in from LA. We had screenwriters, actors, songwriters, etc. attendance is mandatory as you have a short quiz after every guest
