He's adorable! Exams are easy and almost identical to homework. He let us use cheatsheets for both midterm and final. He likes to ask for proofs, but I just wrote them on my cheatsheet. He's known for wierd grading, but is willing to negotiate if you talk to him privately.

booorrrinng. He is so old, hard to understand, and just does examples from the book. Waste of time to go to class. Both midterms are super easy, but the final was hard.

After taking Professor Yaqub I am suprised I continued to be a math major. Twice I had to go back and get a grade changed on an exam after another professor looked at it and told me it was marked wrong. His ramblings in class didn't help either.

took him for summer session 1. Easy class. His tests are straight forward, similiar problems to the hmwk (almost identical). And the Ta's are nice and willing to help. Take this guy! easy A!

Easy class easy tests easy homework and nice TAs..... how many "easy" have I put?? Class is clear and easy to follow; dont know whether it's the 3C material being too EASY or his teaching style makes it way easier than I expected~ Strongly Recommend to take his class, especially when you want an A in math !!!

ok. here's the deal. If you want to get an A, take this guy. If you want to learn****, take someone else. His tests are really easy, but the final is slightly harder than the midterms. Homework is sometimes challenging but straight foward. btw he's the ****ing man.

Lectures can be hard to follow but the course goes at such a slow pace that it doesnt really matter. Homework is fair and so are the tests. He outlined exactly what to study for the midterms. Very nice man..

yaqub is awesome. He's a little bit hard to understand at first, but you get used to it. His tests are just like his homework, and he always tries to answer your questions. He was good for 3b, so I took him for 3c.

easiest class ever

Coolest guy ever! Very fair tests and graded easily. If you do well on the final you get an A in the class.

This guy is really funny. "...it's not over till it's over". Tests and homework are fair but i've never seen such subjective grading in my life. Better hope he's in a good mood when grading papers, etc. Good prof.

This guy needs to retire. He always says the following phrases which are funny: "Let's stare at this for a moment.., " and he rasies his voice significantly when the class is talking. He also contradicts himself a lot. Copies proofs exactly from the book.Tests are exactly like his HW & MT's.easy guy

Easy class if u do the HW (which is optional) & study. Exams like the HW. No trick questions. Nice prof. Has accent and speaks softly, but still understandable. 2 midterms = 50% and final = 50%, but takes improvement and HW into consideration. Might count the final for more if show improvement.

one of the worst professor I had this quarter. He did not really speak English, and he gave homeworks even though it does not count points. The two midterms are easy, but the final is really really really hard. I got an A, but it was all because of my own independent study. Don't take him.

This guy wants you to succeed and get an A in his class. Tests are just like homework problems but final is a little more challenging. Still shouldn't be a problem. If you have trouble passing his class I doubt you'll do any better in any other math 3b course. Seriously.

he is an old crazy man, simple as that. He takes forever to go over examples that take forever. Class is boring but he is really funny to watch, all of his catch phrases (i.e. "lets stare at this for a moment") are hillarious. tests are pretty straight forward, and remember 2 heads are better then 1

I took Gerstein and that guy sucks but then i took this guy and he is very fair, tests are pretty straight foward and he is fair with grading, hw can be copied right out of the answer manual for a good portion of your grade!!take this teacher.

Difficult to understand and he teaches out of the book. However, I got an A and studied a lot. It's possible to get a good grade even when the teacher doesn't explain things very clearly. Very nice man, though.
