class was easy (for me), professor was cute with an accent! Tried to be funny so kept it entertaining. Weekly quizzes in section, besides that pretty simple math with decent professor
A good teacher that covers subject matter reasonably well for the time duration provided. Exames are hard if not fully prepared. It is important to attend his lectures!
Terrible professor! He tries but honestly cannot teach. He is nice and all, but doesn't explain the material well at all. His exams are so much harder than his lectures, same with hw. Lectures and hw are related, subject-wise, but not at same level. Try to get someone else.
Great teacher. Wish he was my math teacher still...
First of all this is a TA. He is not a good teacher at all. Avoid if you can and wait another quarter to get another better and experienced lecturer or a REAL professor. He seemed uninterested in the subject matter, and he only explained the easiest examples which did not help on exams. His hw was off schedule from his lectures.
I will say this. He is not good at all. I was in Math 5B (Multivariable Calculus). Here's the thing about him, he seems to not know what he is doing. He will give vague explanations, so going to class is useless. He expects you to know the book by heart (which, by the way, is the worst book ever, the one by Miroslav Lovric). Please avoid him.
Good at teaching concepts. Leaves out the harder problems and thats usually what is on the test. Homework does not relate to what he is teaching. I thought I was doing really well but ended up with a B-.
Professor Sulway teaches some concepts well. He does not teach efficiently though. He taught half of the material in the book because he was falling behind often. He expects you to read and know the material he skips, but the book is awful!!! CLAS is a must, it saved many students, including me, in that class.
Tries to explain concepts through examples which is helpful. However, he does not teach by the textbook. His lectures and homework are not correlated well. CLAS was extremely helpful.
Sulway deffinitly is hot in his sweaters however he cannot teach what is given on the homework. Do not got leactor, his curve save you anyways.
Awesome professor! As long as you complete the really helpful study guide he gives, you will do fine on the tests. Very fair. He also has a cool British accent!
Lectures are really easy, homework really hard. You think your going to fail but the curve saved me. From a D+ to a C+ with curve. Go to the tutoring center!
His lectures are forgettable and do not coincide with his homework. I recived an A even though I skipped a majority of the lectures. Attending section is much more productive, and you learn more. For the final and midterms make sure to study all the homework problems well and do the practice midterms in the back of the book.
His lectures barely reflect the homework. He goes over the basics of math, what you learn in middle school but the hw is way harder. Midterms and final aren't that bad if you study but it's hard to study off nothing. Book is so out of date and useless. Only needed it to look at answers to try to understand the problem. Easy grader though so take it
Professor Sulway is a grad student. He is kind; however, his lectures are merely a glimpse of the homework. The homework is more difficult and the book does not help at all. The midterms and finals were all right. However, much of the class was frustrating and hard to udnerstand.
Teacher's lectures are IRRELEVANT to the homework assignments. his explanations are wishy washy and does not discuss what is going to be on the final. he does not offer any help when you ask him. do not take his class because it will just be a waste of your time.
not a professor but grad student went to his office hours midterm and final are way hard and they are not neither or almost the same to the book avoid him and his ta's
British accent helps keep the class interesting. He's a little unclear and gives exams that are much harder than what he teaches. He is nice with grades because he knows no one wants to take math.
Mr. Sulway is a grad student. He's very friendly and helpful. The lectures are clear and easy to follow. The tests are demanding but if you pay attention in class and do all your homework they're manageable and fair. He doesn't try to trick you but demands that you know the material. The book sucks so I recommend paying attention in class instead.
