He is a very inspirational teacher. My favorite professor at UCSB thus far. He is very engaging and focuses on the ideas that students have to offer in class. Cares for his students.

If you take writing 50 with any other professor, you are getting jipped. Best Writing prof. he knows what he is talking about, is super chill, lets you go like 45 min early every day, and he looks exactly like Richard Gere. What else could you ask for. He is just an all around nice guy and a great teacher

I really liked going to class. He will help you with questions, he's nice to listen to, and e remembers his students. I wanted to get a good grade so I wouldn't disappoint him.

Very good class! Something that is usefull for after college. Patrick is an awesome guy...makes the class go by fast! If you keep up with the projects and look over the summaries in the back of the chapters you will ace the class and the daily quizes. Great class overall...and great professor!
