Prof. was really nice and passionate about the environment. It was flipped classroom, so you watched videos and then discussed them/did group work in class. I took APES in high school, so I didn't get too much new info out of the class. There was a group project on different avenues for solving climate change, project was main component of grading

Professor Gee is fair and really tries to make sure all his students succeed. His material is hard and confusing but he is always available for extra office hours. Super approachable!

Took his ENV S 106 and 115 classes. Incredibly scattered and disorganized teaching, clear biases that he doesn't even try to hide, I am never going to take a class by him again because I now have to UN-learn quite a lot of information that's just factually incorrect.

Professor Gee is a very nice person and I really enjoy his class. I could not believe that I made all the 8 am classes. I always found his lecture very interesting. Go to his office hours and talk to him! Do the readings, but focuses more on his lectures. Study hard with the materials on the study guide and you will get good grades.

Quentin is the cutest professor on campus! If you are an environmental studies major take this class instead of 34B!! I promise It is a way better option. We do use the iclicker in class everyday. You have a synthesis assignment on your work in lab (where you just learn to use excel). Not a hard class at all and Quentin is very reasonable.

Really chill guy who knows lots. The class can be confusing so go to office hours to get answers. Tests are confusing on purpose but I still got an A without studying my hardest. Would take him again definitely.

Quentin Gee is a great professor. He made lectures very interesting and engaging, and commonly opened up the floor for class discussions. The essay prompts were interesting, and going to office hours was very helpful for those essays.

Quentin made intro to ethics a really enjoyable class! The readings were dense yet interesting; lectures really clarified. He even sprinkled videos and pop culture references into the lectures to make them fun and engaging. The TAs are tough graders on the 2 papers we were assigned, but overall I think their instruction made me a better writer!

We discussed contemporary topics about ethics (animal rights, abortion, affirmative action, etc.) and Gee allows students to voice their opinions and leads to interesting (but respectful) debates. He's a nice and funny teacher who tries to make class interesting and relatable. 2 papers, iClicker, and a short answer final, not too hard

Very nice and informative during office hours and his lectures are always fun. There is a bit of reading but you can get without it since everything that you have to write about and are tested on comes from his amazing powerpoints. Don't procrastinate on the essays because they make up a huge part of your grade and you'll be alright.

Easy and interesting class. There was very little reading (about 30 pages a week) and he spent the lecture going over it so there was no need to read. He often tells personal stories in lecture and the environment was always very light.

One of the best professors I have had. Phil 4 with him was a great class, it wasn't too difficult and the material was very interesting and engaging. Gee was very warm in office hours as well. I would highly recommend him, and would happily take him again.

iClicker, 2 homework quizzes & assignments, 1 midterm, 1 final. Best professor ever! Great at speaking and engaging the class. Section really helps, especially when you have a homework assignment. Midterm and final weren't too hard, but definitely study the slides and homework assignments. Clear grading criteria and organized on Gauchospace. Read!!

Quentin swore a lot in class, told a lot of superfluous, vapid stories, and spoke in this cringe-worthy "bro" voice. Don't buy the books; his lectures are based on the readings and he only tests on what he lectures. Quentin gives out a study guide before the exams, so just worry about completing that to secure an easy A. Oh, and iClicker used.

Funny, enjoyable lecturer. Uses a workbook that you fill out instead of taking notes. If you are a quick learner and you have taken a math class recently, you should be just fine. If not, be sure to take advantage of the practice midterms he will give you. Also, there is a lot of homework, so be aware.

Cool profesor, cool topics. The TA's are tough graders, so get to know them and what they want on your papers. Total chile pepper.

Quentin was very helpful. He goes above and beyond to help prepare students for exams and quizzes. He puts a lot of effort into creating his homework and key to help students. He likes to use iclicker a lot. Grades were based on quizzes, quick tests, iclicker, & final. Highly recommend him as a professor. Very knowledgeable and passionate.

Quentin is AWESOME. He's new at lecturing so there were a few unclear parts. Definitely take ES 25 instead of Math 34B if you're an enviro major. Integrates lots of computer skills, current events, and analysis skills with basic calculus (derivatives and integrals)

Professor Gee is an interesting fellow. This class is weird because its focused towards ES majors, so everyone in there seemed a little more lax than other math classes. Synthesis assignments are annoying, but can be done easily. Its a somewhat boring class but isn't extremely hard and if you need to take it, its not a back breaker.

Gee is adorable! The class was moderately difficult but no surprises on what he expected and were graded very fairly. Make sure to attend every class, he goes over everything needed on the midterm.

Quentin shows a lot of enthusiasm for the subject matter. He explains things on a level for the students to understand and makes himself readily available for anyone to get help outside of class. He knows the material really well and was able to explain it as well! I really enjoyed having him.

Very helpful TA. Meeting and communicating outside of class was very easy. The class itself is quite difficult, but this TA went out of his way to make things easier for us with handouts and a 3 hour final review.

Not a very good prof. Was not able to explain certain math concepts well and then tested us on them. Do the reading and know the content VERY THOROUGHLY! Almost everyone in the class got screwed over on the final because he asked extremely random and specific questions from the readings.

Quentin did a really good job of teaching the class after the professor was unable to teach the class. His lectures were easy to follow and interesting. I didn't read the book hardly at all and we had 2 tests and a final. Was a good intro to philosophy and enjoyed the class.
