She's so sweet. And lenient.

Easy to approach; helpful and patient. Also gives plenty of leeway for late/incomplete work. Midterms and finals are easy if you study and keep up with the material. Great teacher!

Sugawara-sensei is a wonderful teacher - although somewhat shy and rather gentle, she is always willing to help, and is very encouraging. It is easy to see that she enjoys teaching, and always tries to make class fun - if you want to learn Japanese and have fun at the same time, take classes with her.

She is shy but very helpful. The class is fun. Really if you have the chance to take Japanese, they are an awesome group of teachers. Hilarious visuals, role playing. She does call on you but helpful if you do not understand it. Overall AWESOME!
