I was taking this class strickly for GE requirements. In fact I didnt want to take the class at all. Now the class is the best I have ever taken. He is all around a great teacher. Take his class if you can. HE BROUGHT IN A MAGICIAN.

If you want to take psy1, take it w/him. midterm was much easier than one would think, his lectures are really interesting, and he uses awesome examples to help u remember stuff. he puts the lectures online, and the class isnt boring. midterm/final r the only grades, but theyre easy. take this class

Fridlund's a good lecturer: he knows a lot and he keeps your interest for the whole lecture. His lecture slides are online, which helps a lot. There's only a midterm and a final, though, so watch out. As much as he says most of the info on his tests are from the lectures, a lot are from the book.

This is definitely an easy A class. Lectures are fascinating and humorous (but informative). Reading is interesting. With lecture notes online, a thorough study guide, and helpful lectures... this class is fun, interesting, and a GPA booster!

I agree, the final was terrible. I got a B on the mid-term and a D on the final. Answers to questions on final had two similar answers. Which SUCKED!

Awsome class, but it was hard. I read the assigned readings, went to the lectures and still didnt do well. The tests seem to have 2 "could be" answers, and they were so much alike. I know lots of people who did well though. He is very entertaining and funny. Cute too.

Fridlund is the man! His lectures are interesting and engaging. Plus, he never goes off on political rants and keeps up enthusiasm for what he's teaching. Everyone MUST take this class!

He is one of the best professors in the Psychology department. His lectures are interesting as well as entertaining. His classes can sometimes have a lot of reading though.

Awesome teacher. Very funny and entertaining. A slot of reading and information but the lectures are really informative. Had lectures online so you don't have to take notes in class. But you should go to class anyway because he's fun.

Funny lectures. ****ed guy with sexual jokes. Talks kind of... girly... always brings up his son Jason as an example. Tests are not really hard but there's a LOT of reading.

Great lectures, keeps you awake during class. Funny jokes and sexual innuendos. Exams are kinda hard though and require lots of studying. Fair game sheet not always "fair" though. Overall great professor!

Fridlund is really funny, so he helps makes already interesting material even more exciting. He's sort of a cocky ****, but that's just because he knows he's smart, and that students think he's hot. Lectures are fun and his tests aren't bad. I'd make out with him...

His lectures were very clear and interesting; he's laid back and hilarious! He definatley went out of his way to reveal the most interesting aspects of Intro to Psych. (He makes me want to be a psych prof!!)

quite simply, one of the greatest professors at ucsb. take him. i don't care if you are a physics major. he's worth it.

Hilarious man, definitely loves his sexual jokes. It's a great leacture, very interesting and entertaining. He's a good teacher, tests can be a little hard just make sure to do the reading and go over the fair-game sheet its really helpful.

I loved his class so much. I looked forward to his lectures and never wanted to miss a word he said. You have to be quick sometimes or else you'll miss a sexual joke or two (very easy going about such topics- very hip) Midterm and Final were HARD! STUDY!!

Great professor! He is open to questions and is helpful. The tests are more from lecture than the book since I got a 'B' and didn't really read it. Focus in class and ask questions & you'll do fine. He really is good.
