Hey guys, Professor Barros became a documentary maker, got married and lives in Germany. I meet one of her students who kept in touch with her. I hope it helps
I loved Prof. Barros. She was my favorite Prof. at UCSB. What I loved the most was her ability to make us want to learn. She made it easy, fun and her teaching methodology was the best. Because of Prof. Barros I was inspired to go beyond undergrad. I am a lawyer and would like to thank her. Does anyone know where she is? What happened to her?
Professor Barros was very helpful and intelligent. The best instructor I had at UCSB. Where is she now? I would love to take another class from her.
OMG, where is Professor Barros? I heard she is on sabbatical or something. She was the best Professor I ever had at UCSB and she proved to me I can go to law school and do well and I want to tell her I am. I learned more from her than any other professor at this school. We miss you Professor Barros and we miss your jokes.
She is super chill! Loves her! She makes things easier to understand and does not treat you like ur in high school.
The best Professor I had at UCSB.
She is absolutely the most genuine professor at UCSB. She is knowledgeable and encourages everyone to study their hardest. I read some negative reviews of her work and I think these people must be kidding because Spanish is not even her domain and she is the best I ever had in the entire school. I wish I could take a class in Brazilian politics or
Awesome professor! Makes Spanish fun instead of having to power through a 50 minute lecture wanting to go to the beach. Very interactive and prepares you well for tests and quizzes. Her stories are ridiculous and hilarious
Most approachable, understanding and all around kind professor I have ever had. Sometimes she gets repetative. Quizzes are a little hard but she grades easy. I learned more in two weeks than I had in two years of high school Spanish.
The best Prof. I ever had at UCSB. I learned a lot and she is beyond helpful. Knows her stuff and gives you confidence in learning a foreign language. She treats everyone as an equal. Genuine Prof. and super hot.
Super easy class. She explains everything really well, and goes over everything thats going to be on the tests. she's really nice about everything, especially during tests! sometimes she'll practically correct your whole thing if you ask even one question about it.
She is by far the best prof. I have ever had at UCSB. Span is not even her domain and she delivered a great class. I cannot wait to take a class in political science with her, which is her area. I only have great things to tell about this lady. I really do not know what these other dudes are complaining. Maybe she is too hot for them, ha..ha..ha

I agree 100% with the person below. she really is completely and genuinely nice.
The most caring profesor at UCSB. She understands that everyone is not a quick learner and will leave noone behind. She genuinely cares for her students, and goes out the way to help you.
take everything she says with a grain of salt. quesiton everything! she has such a great personality when she isn't feeling overwhelmed or defeated.
I have really mixed feelings towards her. She is not the best teacher but she feels strongly about her students 'doing well' and is extremely nice. If you want to improve your spanish, you will need to spend a lot of time studying outside of class... she was so fun and crazy in spanish 2...i don't know what happened.
She is the worst Spanish teacher that this school has to offer. But she is an easy grader, so if you take her class you had better stick with her class the whole way through; if you don't you might get a prof who will actually expect you to know what you are doing!
