this comment was three years ago, i completely agree: worthless lecturer with no interest in helping her students. She is a researcher that seems to have been forced into teaching. There are certain professors that should never leave the library, she is one of those professors. Honestly, the least helpful, worst professor in all of UCSB.

She is a worthless lecturer with no interest in helping her students. She is a researcher that seems to have been forced into teaching. There are certain professors that should never leave the library, she is one of those professors. Honestly, the least helpful, worst professor in all of UCSB.

She's very interested in what she teaches and is extremely helpful if you go to her office hours. It's a lot of reading and note taking, but you learn a lot in her class if you can make connections with what she says. Her focus is in Russian history, so any class you have with her might revert back to that a bit, but she covers everything you need.
