Seemed like a big pompous **** when I first started taking his class but his self important attitude actually yielded really funny interesting stories about his experiences. Terrible about getting assignments back in time. Grade was entirely unknown until posted on GOLD

The material is very interesting but it is difficult to know what he is looking for in his papers and assignments because instructions are very vague. It is very difficult to get a hold of him to make an appointment. The classes are interesting because he does allow some room for discussion.

Brilliant professor. Has passion for the material he teaches, sometimes that material is even his own translations. He teaches because he likes to, certainly doesn't have to. The only professor students rave about. It was a priviledge to be his student.
