One of the best lecturers I have come across till date. Really wants you to gain mastery of the material and leaves no stone un-turned to ensure it happens. The homeworks and the exams are way tougher compared to the material covered in the class. Very helpful in terms of helping you gain clarity of concepts and fundamentals.
Probably the best professor I've ever had. He always gave clear, complete, precise explanations that left me feeling in complete control of the material. Enormously dedicated to helping/making the students master the material, too. If you like precision and rigor, this is the professor for you. If you don't, stay away.
Great lecturer. Extremely knowledgable, and very clear. Book is optional; he teaches you all you need to know in lecture. Take home exams / HW, which made the time constraints on the final very difficult, i.e. no one finished on time. Labs are time consuming, and he makes you work for a good grade, which is expected of upper-division engineering.
He's really nice! He sometimes says profound statements mid lecture about the nature of the universe, such as "underneath, the whole world is analog." He sometimes lectures really fast and the labs can be long, but overall he makes this class fun, and this is my first ECE class. (CS Major)
Yeah I agree, but he really just need a chill pill. I guess he is passionate about work, that is why he is so hard. He needs to understand that not everyone can learn that fast!
Very clear lecturer. Labs are time consuming, but the course is pretty well organized. Homeworks are appropriately difficult, course material isn't too difficult. He's a bit arrogant and often too "proper" (he'll throw you out of class if you whisper to your neighbor), but its a pretty good class overall. Try not to miss lecture.
--really good professor
Great lecturer, going to class was enough to make me understand all the concepts (and I normally learn everything from the book). Labs are difficult and time consuming, but fairly straight forward, and the TA's will help you with any problems you have on it. HW isn't too bad either. The tests are too long, so keep a fast pace on them.
the class material is not too hard. the homework is extrememly difficult and the tests are long and intimidating but not overly diffficult. he is a great lecturer, probably one of the best i ever had in the engr department.
Worst teacher ive ever had.
Doesn't know to teach. When the class performance was bad he blamed the class, not his style of teaching. He is smart and he expects everyone to meet his expectations. "Everyone has different ability"
His due dates are ludicrously long and close together, with labs and homeworks often being due the same day. Tests are ridiculously long and hard (22 page midterm: 1 hr 15 min to finish), and he is diminutive to the students. DO NOT take this class from him if at all possible.
He seems to be good in his intentions but doesn't quite know how to teach what he wants to the class. He is very picky about any talking. He doubts the answer he gives to questions and usually ends up saying "talk to me about it after class." Long homeworks, long labs, hard tests.
Kind of hard class. He is very helpful and clear, knows what is going on and application specific. Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto!
Doesn't know what's going on in lab. Doesn't give enough time before setting due dates for labs or review session times. Homeworks are incredibly loong. His personality tends to annoy me, but I guess he's a good teacher.
GREAT teacher, very understanding and really effective. Only a few weeks into the course and I heard he grades hard, but content/quality is great. He wears the same shirt every class though.
