Metzger is a really good teacher! Her notes are very clear and during office hours shes really helpful. There are three 2 page papers which she grades easily. However, there is A LOT of reading. you have to do it because she tests directly on it, and its not lecture overlap. tests are difficult and you have to keep up. But its a very good class

Interesting and relevant class dealing with mass media. Straightforward, clear teaching style, but readings and tests will challenge you, so this class is definitely not for slackers.

Very clear with directions, notes, lecturing style. Engages her students very well, yet the work and readings still challenges you to think critically about the issues of mass comm (this class will not be a breeze).

three tests, and you can make one up at the end (in place of a final). The tests are totally tolerable as long as you go to every class and do the reading ahead of time. GO TO SECTION! It isn't worth much, but it can make or break your grade. Metzger is easy to understand and is very nice, makes lecture go quickly.

Her lectures are somewhat boring, but she's a nice person. However, her tests were very difficult & often tricky. I recommend that you take another stats class if you can & avoid this one.

She explains things very clearly. Concepts are reviewed in both lecture and section so its hard to not understand. She has a seriousness of purpose.

I liked this class a fair amount. The material was really nailed into our heads. I never felt lost or confused because everything we learned was reviewed 3 times. It's still a difficult class, but if you like math, then it is somewhat interesting

comm 134 is a pretty interesting class, too bad the professor isnt all that nice n helpful. she is a hard grader, and she is pretty damn discouraging.. overall.. shes just evil.

Good teacher ... does her best to make time to help you if you dont understand, easy to work with, flexible, understanding

take pstat instead...this class was incredibly boring, the lectures made it seem pretty straightforward but the tests were MUCH MUCH harder...luckily the class curves really high & i was able to get a B+ with miminal effort

She read off a paper every class and wasnt clear in which notes to take. Tough tests...

One of the best courses I've taken! She is very clear and challenges her students to learn the subject matter through in-class discussion and interesting exam questions (I know, something you thought was impossible!) Also a very nice person and clearly cares a lot about her students and her subject; highly recommended!!

Great professor. She makes the info super easy to understand and she is just a nice person all together. I hated the subject but Prof. Metzger made it interesting and simple.

she makes the subject matter as easy as possible for the students- to the point of treating us like first graders. her tests could be a little tricky- just because the class curves so high.
