passionate about world ag which is great but the lectures (mainly his graphs/charts) are cryptic and he does little to explain them. Know that you will be completely lost in class if you have not done all the assigned readings. He makes everything more complicated than it needs to be. Would not recommend taking

Great Professor and class! I might be biased because Diet&Climate Change is something I'm really interested in so I enjoyed lectures as well as the readings. We read about two academic journal articles for every lecture so it wasn't very reading intensive. Quizzes every other week which were most false, tough but usually directly from ppt slides

Professor Cleveland is an amazing professor! He is an extremely intelligent and talented man who everyone should get to know. This class wasn't an easy A, but if you skim the readings for main points and attend lectures you should do fine. "Most False" questions aren't too bad once you get used to them. I highly recommend this class and professor!

Cleveland is passionate, there's no doubt about that. BUT he is extremely confusing! His lecture slides look like hieroglyphics and he somehow makes it more complicated. He makes the class harder than it should be. He doesn't relate to students to well. Intimidating.

Loved this class and this professor! Not an easy A by any means, but well worth the effort as the topic is extremely important. Great professor, awesome person! Would definitely recommend.

Super smart professor, I respect him in many ways but teaching really isn't his strong suit. He seems to have trouble getting down to the students level. The class itself has lots of busy work. I strongly felt that he expected us to care more about his class than any other aspect of school.
