She is the absolute clearest professor I've ever had. You know exactly what is expected of you, she prints you all of the notes you need and spends the entire lecture making sure you understand them. If you go to class there is no excuse for not doing well.

Great class, not boring at all! You get the grade you worked for, she's completely reasonable and provides you with all the notes. You do not need to buy the book at all!

Very organized, I'll give her that. But she is really, really boring and the class is tough. You have to be extremely careful with how you word your answers on homework. You pretty much learn through "trial by error" how she likes the answers, and your grade pays for it in the mean time.

One of the nicest and most organized teachers I've had at UCSB. She puts so much time and effort into each lecture, and even though I'm not a Linguistics major, she makes everything easy to understand. You can tell she loves the subject. She's also very willing to help you out if you go to office hours. GREAT PROFESSOR!!!

A very classy lady, very approachable. She really seemed to care about her students.

Lectures were long, but she tried to make them intereseting and I commend her on that. She rocked.

GREAT teacher. She's extremely knowledgable and answers questions thoughtfully and thoroughly yet without getting carried off topic. Her organization of the class was impeccable. She's also a really nice lady.
