Nice guy, but boring class. I didn't learn anything useful about how to create a narrative. The readings and films he chose were mostly dry and boring, with the exception of 1 or 2. This class is not easy, but not very hard. It is medium in difficulty. Make sure you pick a good and easy TA.

pretty boring, rambles a lot.. he's passionate about the material.. but I found the material boring.. so that didn't do much for me.. not my fave professor. also, made us take midterm the day after Halloween.

(Senior Seminar Alice Munro) - Prof. Abbott is an engaging professor who cares about his students. This course is demanding (he expects in-class participation in small classes) but totally worth it.

nice guy as long as you do your work. He's really into paper's not as much tests. He also is a hard grader. If you are not a good writer, make sure you work with him. Also a lot of reading, basically he is cool but time consuming.
