Bob's the kind of professor you wish you could have for every class. Presents material clearly, has an excellent sense of humor, just an all-around good guy. He clearly recycles exam questions, but the questions aren't super hard to begin with. His homework will make you sweat a bit, the book isn't all that great, but he gives good online notes

Pros: Pretty much a repeat of Phys 3 and 4 with some extras thrown in for funsies, easy straightforward exams, relaxed lectures, hw will prepare you for exams. Cons: missed some lectures, appears very busy, hw during midterm week. Overall: If you succeeded in physics 3-4 this class is cake

Pros: chill, reuses HW/exam questions from previous years, clear lectures, exams resemble HW, negotiated midterm date, OH helpful, online notes, cheat sheets. Cons: section is useless bc examples are difficult, reading book is important, wave portion of class is understated, TA got HW at 5pm, disappointingly ez if you have previous year's stuff.

One of the best professors I've had to date. Lectures worth attending, straightforward exams, pretty enthusiastic about topic. Homework takes some effort though.

A wonderful professor. VERY enthusiastic and has a true passion for the subject. Very approachable and eager to help but will not hold your hand or coddle you. Honestly one of the best professors I have had! STRONGLY recommend him!

lectures are very clear and helpful. homework takes some effort but it's not just pointless work, you're actually learning something from it.

Prof. York is amazing - probably the best engineering professor I've had so far. One thing he does that stands out: He explains concepts and strategies in detail and within a large scope. He helps you see everything, see how its useful, and then link it all together in the big picture. I was lucky to be taught by him.

York is one of the best professors that I have ever had in any department. His lectures are great and he is very good at communicating the essential concepts. The class is certainly not easy but you learn so much its amazing.

Amazing instructor. York's lectures throw out a wide variety of concepts while keeping you enthralled and focused. Theres a fair amount of time requirement in the lab and doing the homework, but if you put it in you should have no problem with the exams. Again York is AWESOME!

York is the best. Easily the most Ive learned in a single class yet. He connects well with his students, is very funny, and is extremely fair. He supplements the theoretical nature of the class wonderfully with his labs. His class IS difficult, but you'll learn something if youre not careful. Tests are simple if you do your homework. Great prof.
