Suarez is a great professor. The material is tough but he breaks it down into little pieces an slowly builds on the topic. That being said, you cannot skip lecture and expect to do well. I really learned a lot in this class.

He started off the quarter stating that students who are trying to get into medical school or professional school avoid his class. If this doesn't scream red flags then idk what does. That aside he really does care that you understand the material. He repeats himself, A LOT, and pleads students to come to office hours with questions. Hard earned B+

I thought Dr. Suarez was a fantastic lecturer. He went through concepts slow enough to pick it up and was ver thorough. The only problem with the class was the TA. She was terrible in section.. all over the place and NO help!! and she was not generous at all with giving points for credit on quizzes/tests.

VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY poor teaching quality. For the amount tuition is you will feel ripped off by this course.

Even if a class is hard there should be a mutual level of respect between teacher and student. Not the case in Raul Suarez's world. He is an extremely egocentric person who accepts only his own knowledge to mean anything. Even when presented with valid information learned in another course he refuse even to consider the valididty. AVOID!! AVOID!!

If you are a visual learner be wary of this course. Both Suarez and his TA Ken do not write on the board. They tell you orally what is happening but they talk fast and expect you to get everything important. I had to teach the subject to myself.
