One of my favorite ED professors by far. She has transformed ED126 into a really eye-opening subject. There are three papers, however they are only 3-4 pages and about your experiences. There are usually 2 readings per week. I typically skimmed them but she also will go over them in lecture. Recommend this class to future educators!!

She is one of the best professors here at UCSB! Puente is super passionate about issues within higher education making it a personal learning experience which you don't normally get in classes. I recommend taking ED 126 !

Your grade is based on 3 essays and a final research paper. you HAVE to show up to class, 100% mandatory makes up so much of your grade.

super kind and helpful. attendance is mandatory, accessible outside of class & understanding. ED 126 is graded on attendance, two 3-4 page essays, and one final 5-page research paper. no exams and there are a few little assignments here and there but most work is done in class! would def recommend if ur looking for an easy and interesting UD

Dr. Puente is an alright lecturer. I didn't feel very engaged. She is new and young and it feels like she wants to prove herself. I took ED 126 and had no idea that it was based on higher ed and was a class mostly about racism and latinx college students (GOLD didn't say any of that). Attendance is mandatory!! It was fine but not what I expected...
