Don't take pstat 120A with her. There are better options where you wont have to suffer so much. She doesn't care about our grades and didn't curve the class with a very low average.

Very difficult exams and lectures covered concepts but based on course material struggled to make distinct connections on how to solve applications of these concepts. Overall was a little too theory based in lecture, making it hard to solve difficult problems shown on exams. Hoping for a curve.

She had really hard exams, and it was fairly difficult to follow her lectures.

Super test heavy (70% of total grade) which is graded on very very strict criteria. The other 30% of the grade comes from difficult homework which is barely related to the main concept or utilizes methods not explained in class. The homework is also graded on accuracy so any percentage that goes towards your grade is hard to get. Curve needed.

Homework is ridiculously hard and has questions that are not connected to lectures whatsoever. Lectures are not helpful and only theory based. You need to self teach yourself everything. Recommend using the textbook she follows.

I can't say Sen is a good professor. She gave confusing lectures, disorganized slides, and super difficult exams. Her TA graded the exam harshly. If you have a choice, avoid this professor

Very quick through the materials, no time for taking notes, and generally a hard class to start with. Especially for homework, she picks questions that are not relevant (for example, questions that ask you to prove or involve tons of algebraic calculations) to the main topic, and are hard to do. Nice person though.

Doing her homework and practice exams was the best way to succeed in the class. She reused a practice exam question in the real midterm. She worked really hard to help students gain confidence and understand the material. The only problem with her was that homework was too time consuming.
