Witty and hilarious, huge sweetheart who frequently made the class laugh out loud. Met once a week for three hours, two of which were spent watching really interesting 60's films and shows like James Bond and The Avengers. One take-home midterm, a group presentation on one week's readings, and a final paper/multi-media project. Amazing professor!

Thoroughly enjoyed this class, she is very passionate. Tests were take home, but there were some random quizzes, but should be fine if you do the work/pay attention. Silent film was rough, but the topics after were interesting. Very sweet and bubbly, wants you to participate.

This class helped me expand knowledge about Black filmmakers, just wish she focused less on pre-sound for 3 weeks so we could discuss blaxploitation and contemporary black filmmakers too. She requires a bit of reading and can be very specific, but overall an easy grader if you know how to write articulately. Also really sweet and sassy lecturer.

I took her class last fall and it was a very interesting class on celebrity stardom with lots of films shown. She's a fun speaker and she is a good grader on the midterm (essay) and final (take home essay & presentation). You must read the books! I recommend taking any class she teaches because she's a fun professor and you'll have a good time.

I took her class five years ago and I still remember her fondly. Smart, hard working teacher, always has a friendly smile and a kind word for everyone.
