Professor Linz is awesome! He's super chill and passionate about the course's material. I recommend taking him!

My favorite professor at UCSB. Linz cares about his students and wants them to succeed in class and outside of class. He does contract grading so if you put it an effort and submit all your assignments you will get an A.

The best Communication professor at UCSB. We need more professor like him who genuinely care for their student's wellbeing and education. If I could I'd take all of my Communication classes with him. He is one of a kind and deserves all the respect. He is extremely passionate to what he teaches which is very important to keeping students engaged!!!

Amazing professor. Wish I had was able to take more courses with him. He has contract grading so as long as you do the assignments and put in your best and honest effort, you'll get an A. No quizzes or tests, just a few papers and in-class discussions. I learned best with this method of teaching!

Professor Linz is amazing! I took him for Comm 134 (Electronic Media Policy) which sounds boring but was actually so interesting. Lectures are not mandatory but always fun because Linz is hilarious and enthusiastic. A very chill grading system based on doing the work "in good faith." Caring and flexible. Definitely take this class!

Prof. Linz is a walking encyclopedia, very knowledgeable, inspirational, and supportive, encouraging students to think critically. Lots of reading and writing, but you will get the full points as long as you do it. Super caring!

Prof Linz really cares about his students and wants us not only to succeed in his class but to learn about society. He has weekly assignments that you get 100% on as long as you attempt with good faith. His discussions + lectures are thought provoking and has changed how I view the world. Papers are lengthy but on interesting topics. Highly rec!

He's the coolest but at the same time unorganized prof I've had. If you talk to him about the material and show interest in it he really values it. He's more interested in critical thinking than you memorizing things for points.

Linz is amazing! Took this class over the summer and we had small (usually 1 or 2 pages) papers due every week based on readings and he was a VERY easy grader. Posted his asynch lectures and had live discussions twice a week. It's obvious he's passionate about his teaching and wants his students to succeed. Definitely recommend taking his class!

Such an amazing professor and really cared about students. Made changes in the course when students voiced their concerns about class. Only had one class that had to go to weekly and asynch lectures. Had a midterm and final that was kind of long but gave plenty of time to do it. Also a group presentation but an amazing class that I recommend
