ZHANG Q
Prof Zhang has fairly easy tests, reasonable HW, no quizzes, accessible Office Hrs, and availability on email regarding HW questions. Her handwriting is very clear which is rare now somehow. I would say she teaches 6a the intended way which was supposed to not be difficult. Only downside is that the final is 40% of the grade so beware.
A WONDERFUL Professor. She is very good at what she does, teaches very clearly, and ACTUALLY SHOWS EXAMPLES. Even though it was at 8 am, Zhang managed to teach things very clearly. Tests were very fair in my opinion, very similar to practice exam. Would take her again, I hope i get her for 6A.
Really really nice professor and she presents the information pretty clearly!!
Great professor, tests are almost exactly like the practice exams. Her lectures are solid and homework is manageable.
The best professor at providing clarity and teaching to exams and homework. I believe she is the best professor at this university and I would EXTREMELY recommend if you can take her class!
The Best Professor, OH really helps
TAKE HER FOR 6A TRUST
Sometimes a little hard to understand but the most kind Math Professor I have had so far. Lecture notes are super helpful even if you don't go to the lecture. Midterms are exactly like practice tests. Have not had final yet but don't think it will be much different. Restored faith in ucsb math department. Easy A if you put work in.
she is a good teacher
Literally the best professor ever. Lectures are extremely clear and tests are similar to class material. Very nice too.
Zhang was great for 4B!! All lectures were recorded and notes were posted on Canvas. Practice tests were given for the midterms and final and were almost identical. Only went to class the first day and the testing days and got an A. 2 homework assignments a week but only 10 questions. Material is relatively easy but does a good job explaining.
Her detailed notes and great lectures make the course material easy to understand, and the HW assignments directly relate to the lectures, making them manageable. Lectures are recorded, so attending lecture wasn't necessary and practice tests resemble actual tests, which are fair and easy. One of the best profs at UCSB and my favorite of all time.
