Content was taught at a higher level than usual for the course. Exams were pretty easy though and mirrored the practice/homework almost exactly. Only 1-2 curveballs per exam, plus the final cutoffs were adjusted down by 10%. No real complaints but not super engaging either. In particular, did not try to motivate the math being done at all.
The lectures are very fast paced and hard to follow, and he is a very tough and picky grader. Definitely would not take again.
Goes over everything in the textbook pretty well. Exams are not that bad and are graded fairly. You'll be fine if you put in a little effort to understand the material. This professor won't amaze you but he's a solid choice.
He proves everything and leaves nothing as an exercise, which is how my textbooks should be. Brought a live goat to the class one day to illustrate a new proof of the Sylow's theorem, which was really fun.
Just rewrites exact notes onto the board. Doesn't actually TEACH anything.
I got a D on my last try. This offering by Professor Rodriguez made the material very easy for everyone and even my parents could not believe I got an A-. Take him!
