This is a class that is really rewarding for some, and difficult and frustrating for others. I took this course in the summer and found the grading to be much more lenient than I had thought, but the assignments still took a lot of work, and the subjects can be difficult. Drop the class early if you can & don't like it, if you do it will pay off.

This class has insane intense projects with very bare guidelines and when everyone did bad she got mad at us instead of her poor communication. Now its 7 days till an essay worth 25% of our grade and she hasn't released the prompt. The canvas requires you digging through links, files, and weeks old announcements for important information its a mess

She uses this class to just state her own opinions and everything is based on her ideas. There is no space for differing thoughts or perspectives and if you do not agree with her she will likely not like you! Everything is very subjective and unclear and we spend the first full hour of class doing things like drum circles.

I am taking soc 174 right now. I've genuinely never not enjoyed a class until this one. I have come to every single class and gotten honestly nothing out of it. We get no rubric or idea of how she is grading anything and spend or 3 hours of class time listening to her friends, her stories, and no lecture content or actual related things.
