his classes were fine, to say at least
Is this guy still around? Mr Model basher
Tough class. If you take really good notes on top of the powerpoint slides he provides, and if you go to section, you should get an A. Generous curve
LeRoy was pretty cool but 134A was hell. The TAs grade your tests so choose one you like because some are stingy with the points. Like others said, everything is open book/notes but they aren't much use unless you know what you're doing. Make sure you understand everything completely and don't rely too much on your notes and practice tests.
3 midterms and a final. drops the lowest of the 4. The final was way harder so try and do well on the first 3 and skip the final. Notes and book are not very helpful on exams because his questions are a few steps ahead of the book and lecture examples. He is occasionaly funny but other than that this class will put the average student to sleep.
This class is tough and pretty boring. Test are open books and open notes but they are not helpful b/c his test questions are much harder. This class is made for our suffering and destined for students to fail.

Interesting lectures and personality. Although it's Open book and open notes, it's not that easy !
He is able to explain financial concepts in an interesting way. Gives open book tests, but they are slightly different from the class examples, so notes aren't that helpful. The tests are very hard, but the curve is very generous. Study old exams to get an idea of how he tests.
Never have to go to lectures because they arent very helpful, read the book instead. Id take him over Crouch in a heartbeat.
Another fat Econ professor. This guy's alright. He puts all his lectures online, and his tests are open book, open note, so unless you're totally retarded, you shouldn't do too bad. I'd take him over Crouch because you don't have to go to class.
