Professor Mullath is great. He is super helpful in office hours, which are half held on zoom for those it is relevant to. His lectures are very jam-packed, but he uploads his notes with voice recordings after. Midterm and final were do-able with ample studying and completion of practice materials. Overall would recommend, long homeworks though.
Grades were broken up into a ton of subsections. Practice tests were similar to the actual tests. He explains things well, but I got very bored in class. He was very fair about everything. Webwork due about twice a week.
Best MATH8 prof. He's always prepared for class, responds quickly to emails, follows the textbook, and posts lectures immediately after class. The hardest part is the homework, which is moderately difficult and is lengthy. Each takes me about 3-4 hours and uses about 10 pages on Goodnotes. I did well without office hours or friends in the class.
Professor Zuhair is very transparent with his students and holds extremely helpful office hours. The only downside is the jam-packed lectures. He tries to fit too much into the lectures, leaving very little room to digest. Grading is lenient but fair and gives curves. Homework is heavy with long proofs (but that is expected for 108a).
Very nice guy. The lecture, video and notes are really helpful.
Great instructor! Lots of homework but is doable especially if you go to office hours. Exams are based on the practice exams given, so as long as you understand those concepts, you will do great. Participation based on attendance and iClicker combined, where 80% participation counts as an A. Good class, don't be afraid to ask for help!
Very nice professor! Good lectures and examples. The final is just like the practice one. 10% of the total grade is the Iclicker participation grade, so you have to go to at least 80% of the lectures.
Just as Muhammad was the seal of prophets, Professor Mohammed is the seal of teachers. He's the best prof I've taken. Attendance is accounted for, and the professor gives tough exams, but curves are beyond generous, with 88 percent (after curve) counting for an A in the class. Jazakumullahu khayran, professor.
One of the best professor I've ever met in math department. The course contents are easier than other math8 professors. The lectures and materials he built are easy to understand. 60% of grades come from quiz, midterm, and final. Others are homework and participation, which is easy to earn.
