Instructor Ni is so sweet and caring. Overall WRIT 2 is a fairly easy class, but Instructor Ni's kindness and attentiveness makes this class much easier. She even bought us a whole breakfast for our last class!

Kind & caring. Covers: writing processes, genre, perspective, research. Contract grading, meaning you're guaranteed a B as long as you simply complete all the work on time. To get above a B, she grades quality of 2 writing projects throughout the quarter & a final portfolio/"letter" to her in which you describe your growth as a writer in her class.

Nice but disorganized. Our papers had the wrong turn in dates, class times would get confused, she made a whole plan to change the format of our class and never followed through with it, etc. I just got frustrated with my ending grade cause I thought she would make accommodations considering how she lowk screwed us over by being so disorganized.

MY FAVORITE TEACHER AT UCSB!! She is literally so sweet and cares about learning and her students so much. She responded fast to emails and is also the only teacher at this school who has learned my name. She has lots of creative inclass activites that help you learn and keep you engaged. TAKE HER CLASS

Professor Ni was my favorite professor this semester. She truly cares about her students, and it is very accessible for feedback or help outside of class. I feel that I really improved as a writer last semester, and she is genuinely so kind when it comes to teaching and helping her students learn. I would highly recommend her as a professor!
