professor pierce is fine but I think there were too many students for the TAs - grading was ridiculously slow so it was impossible to gauge your progress in the class. caused extra stress for no reason.
AP is a great professor. There are 3 easy readings to do and a discussion and reply. Our midterm is an explanation of our final paper. The final is so easy to write if you connect something you're passionate about to the course and material.
Pierce was an amazing resource during the quarter and lecture and section was always intriguing.

AP is very easygoing and flexible. You can tell that she cares about her students and she is passionate about what she teaches. The class is pretty easy as we just did weekly reflections. The midterm was a creative assignment and the final was a paper.
Took this for major and loved it. Really fun lecture content and AP is a chill lecturer who values feedback and engagement from students. About three readings per week which could be over 10-20 pages long and one 400-word reading reflection per week is required. Grading is really dependent on the TA you get but overall reasonable workload
Pierce was a decent prof. Their lectures could get a bit boring and hard to sit through, but you could tell they cared a lot about their students and the subject matter. If you're not already interested in feminist studies, this might be a painful class. The readings could get lengthy, but some of the topics were interesting. Overall decent GE.
Professor Pierce is a solid choice. Her lectures are quiet captivating and you can tell she loves what she does. Homework consists of weekly writing assignments and some reading which isnt too bad. Class is mainly graded on two papers which are scored quiet fairly. Highly recommend if you want to take an interesting GE.
