ENG342 . 5 Months Ago

The first time I have ever dropped a class after 3 years of being in college... The projects he expected you to complete required you to find non-native English speakers which is honestly a bit difficult. He says assignments will be short and then they are 5-10 pages in length. He grades those papers a bit harshly, too. I couldn't take it anymore.

New prof who expects grad-level work from undergrads. The final is a "short" 10 page SINGLE SPACED paper. Some assignments were difficult to complete, such as requiring you to interview someone who learned English as a second language in K-12. His grading scale is also not very clear, with discussion and participation grades not explicitly listed.

Nice lecturer. Sessions are very helpful, too.

Jesus is a graduate student. His lecture is a bit boring because he was simply repeating the content on slides. He sometimes cannot explain students' questions clearly because phonetics is not his area, The assignment and exams are easy to get high grades as long as you read the slides notes.

Jesus was a great lecturer. His lectures were easy to understand and he provided great examples. There were a few times when he misunderstood student questions, though, and responded in a rather rude way but he was also very good at receiving and implementing our feedback. Would definitely recommend!
