She is an amazing professor who is always willing to help. If you are behind just go to office hours!!!! There are midterms and small in-class essays but she prepares them for you really well and the essay has a rewrite. Best teacher I have ever had 100%.

Carina is very nice and tries really hard for her students to do good in exams. She was very easy to talk to.

Professor Paredes is very nice and helpful. Her class is really cool because she makes it fun, and she is always happy. The only thing that I did not enjoy was how expensive the materials for the class has gotten, but that's not really her fault. Every spanish classroom has the same. Participation is a must, but it's fun, so it's okay.

She is very nice and caring. Participation does matter a lot though!

I swear if it wasn't for Carina I would've FAILED. Spanish at UCSB is so hard and she honestly made it so much fun to learn! I had no spanish background & she truly cared about making sure each person understood the material before she moved on. There was a ton of homework but it def helped w the tests.
