Try to stay away from this professor. She doesnt teach at all only reads slides. You literally have to teach yourself so theres no point of even having an instructor. I hated the class and I dislike her for pursing a career she is bad at and ruining students in the process.

As a teacher, she's terrible at explaining, and just reads off the slides. However, I did find her to be very nice and supportive. Kind of annoying bc all the tests had the answers on quizlet, so it seems like everyone cheated. Like, don't make tests that students can just google because it ruins the hard work of people who actually studied... :/

Professor Smiths teaching style is good for those people who learn from reading textbooks as she practically takes most info from the book. The down side to this is the lack of breaking down concepts into their smaller components. She throughly explains why and when a system works but doesnt do a good job in explain the hows of each component.

Talks like she is reading from a textbook. I thought I was just dumb but I don't think there's any way anyone understands what she is saying. She uses big scientific words with no context or explanation in an intro to bio class as if she expects everyone to already be experts. Is she trying to sound smart or just make our lives harder?

she reads directly from the (very dense) slides EXTREMELY QUICKLY. if you are watching lecture videos, you will need to pause on each slide to be able to write everything down, and then watch it again to even understand what she is saying. THIS IS SO TEDIOUS!!! i do not recommend this lecturer.

currently taking the summer quarter so far and her video lectures seem pretty bad - just reading off the slides for the most part and doesn't go too into details. honestly better off just reading the textbook
