RICHARDSON C
Richardson is actually a godsend for this course. His HW is fairly easy and graded very leniently. The first exam was exactly the hw, and the second midterm was more difficult, but doable. He has a lot of office hours in which he explains everything from lecture to hw. Also DO NOT listen to anyone saying take another professor, he's the easiest.
Not the best lecturer, he talks very quick in class and would move onto the next slide before students were done writing, but he does post the recordings! But I will say that his exams aren't the worst. They are very similar to problem sets/section worksheets. Grading is pretty good, either a midterm gets dropped or it weighs more than the final.
Lectures are the most confusing experience of your life, intricate mechanisms that only has pictures which he does not write on to clearly tell you the steps. Homeworks and exams are much more difficult than lecture material. Good luck getting a good grade or understanding genetics at all. I would strongly recommend taking a different professor.
My GOAT. He is very clear about exactly what you need to know to do well. Use the discussion board!
Easy A. Tests based around problem sets and they were pretty easy. Weird thing was they had a deadline for hw, but gave no penalty for late hw. You got less points if you turned it in on time than if you turned it in late by copying the answer key. Slides by themselves are meh; but he annotates them in the vids and was super well organized imo.
Lectures are a little confusing but tests are pretty simple if you lock in to your problem sets and understand them well! Best thing about Richardson is that he records his lectures AND office hours - he's always looking to be accessible for students that need help. Great prof
