The homework is significantly harder than the problems he works through in the lectures (which he just clicks through) and he also expects everyone to follow the breakneck speed with which he jumps through logical hoops. Expect to spend at least 3 days of your week on the homework and the final takes 20 out of 24 hours.
Lectures are extremely dry, reads through the slides at a breakneck pace without actually explaining what's on them. HW is substantially more difficult and takes a more pure math angle compared to other professors; not relevant for CS majors. Collaboration allowed, but expect to spend at least 20 hrs/week. 24hr final window also takes 12hr easily.
DONT believe in ur first several homeworks. They are simple! It is the last few hws that's frustrating! The final is too hard. u get 24 hr to work on lt, but it's common that u spend 14 hrs on it and still far from finish. I listened to the lecture once and decided not to waste my time on it. The slide is enough, but he wrote little process for Qs.
