Interesting and easy class but felt like we were learning his opinion more than structured, concrete, applicable subjects. Almost every lecture concluded that Trump is bad. As UCSB students and liberals I think we all agree with that opinion, but I didn't feel I needed to hear it in every lecture like I felt I didn't really learn too much.

This class changed my thoughts on the news; the class is very easy for an upper-division unit, highly recommended for people wants to graduate early to take this course, no midterm, final is to find a solution or just thoughts on the topic you choose. No test; the lecture is pre-recorded and short, usually ten mintues around.

His class was very engaging and in-person lectures were only one day a week. You are expected to watch the online lectures covering the theories for the week on your own time and read the articles. You also need to understand the applications of the theories to succeed on tests and assignments. Overall, I felt this class pretty fair and enjoyable!

Amazing professor and his lectures are very interesting. However, the exams are pretty difficult and tricky! There's no study guide so canvas / lectures are only the guide. There's a huge paper but it just depends on your TA on the grading.

Great teacher overall; however, the grading structure does make it very hard to succeed if you miss something or don't do well on an assignment. Tests were very wordy and tricky and required a lot of studying. However, lectures were incredibly engaging and useful to the class. Just be prepared to work hard and pay attention.
