MCCLURE S B
Very nice and great lecturer. I genuinely enjoyed having her. 3 quizzes heavily based on weekly reading/videos. 2 midterm essays 1000+ words each (online). Final was composed of 3 shorter essays (online). Do the readings and attend lecture and section and you will do fine.
honesty professor McClure was the GOAT and she was super nice n funny. just depends on what TA u get cuz sometimes they were tough graders but McClure is awesome
Sarah's super sweet and has great energy during class, you can tell she's passionate about what she teaches!! The grade was made up of a midterm (35%), final (35%), a short written assignment (15%) and a timeline (15%). The exams are pretty easy if you take good notes and the assignments aren't bad at all!! Would definitely take her again.
loved taking this course with Dr McClure. she's funny, knows her stuff, helpful if you need it, and super approachable. 10/10 recommend!
Dr. McClure is genuinely one of the best people I've had the pleasure of learning from. I had her for ANTH 3 my first quarter in college and loved her enough to want to take her ANTH 167. She absolutely has never let me down; she's very sweet, passionate, approachable, and is honestly everything I could ask for in a professor. Take her classes!!
AMAZING! Prof McClure really wants the best for her students and is very caring and funny. since its zooarch, memorization is super key to passing. lectures are very informative and interesting. If you can get in I definitely recommend.
Super nice professor who was very passionate about her subject. Only 3 essays all quarter, two being research-based and a very easy final essay, basically a reflection of the course. Readings were not necessary but nevertheless intriguing, and the weekly homework takes 20 minutes. Take this GE.
Love love lovedddd this class thanks to Dr. McClure. She is super knowledgeable not only in her specific profession but in other areas as well. She didn't have a very personal attachment to students but her lectures were very interesting and easy to understand. Essay topics were very reasonable and graded fairly by the TA's.
Interesting lectures that aren't mandatory. 3 essays throughout the quarter that can be written even if you miss every class. Bunch of assigned reading that wasn't super necessary except in section when participation mattered.
The professor is very organized in lectures and on the gauchospace site. I liked the combination of videos and articles for weekly homework and the packpack discussion posts were straightforward and simple. Despite there being quite a few essays during the quarter, I appreciated that she gave out the prompts well in advance of the due date.
Prof McClure has some really awesome lectures. Attendance isn't mandatory, but going to them is always a fun time because of how passionate she is about her subject. Everything is posted online as well. 3 papers and a project plus section writing assignments, but they weren't super difficult. Get ahead on papers and you'll have a good time!
Professor McClure is so kind and so passionate about Archaeology and Anthropology, making her lectures very interesting and the course pretty interesting as well. She has a pretty relaxed work load and schedule of essays, with no exams and classes canceled on most Fridays. Grading isn't very harsh and the class is very manageable.
