Very unfair professor who grades harshly, lectures are 2 hours long and I felt like I learned nothing in this class. One of my worst experiences with a class in my 4 years here

She was incredibly nice and sweet, but an extremely harsh grader and absolutely no exceptions with attendance, assignments or grades, lectures also run so much longer then they should with lots of busy work in class too

Felt like I learned a good amount but we used VHL in this class and it was not the best program. Additionally, there are no extra credit options so you really have to make sure you're doing good on the tests and homework assignments.

Professor Carter listens to feedback and tries to improve for the better. Shes changed a lot from previous reviews. The class is fun and enjoyable. She engages students and makes the class very welcoming. Shes also very helpful and kind to students. Do the HW, attend class, and you will do well (A or B). Lectures are long and could be shortened.

Literally did not like me day one. Already kinda understood Spanish so I know I wasn't awful, could never break an 86% on anything. You miss a few homeworks and its all done. No makeup work (except for the kids she likes apparently. I never got the chance). Made it hard for me to want to go to class. Super disorganized gauchospace.

She is still a graduate student while teaching this course. An extremely tough grader on tests and compositions. She tends to give very low scores on participation, that being said, you can significantly mess up your overall grade just by a bad participation score, even though you have done very well in the tests and assignments.
